Anne Marie Drew considers the seven deadly sins and their impact on our relationship with God in the prayers of "sloppy sinners," angry hearts, weary spirits, lonely hearts, prideful hearts, and emptiness. As I read this book, I was moved to realize that I've prayed with all of these hearts. Drew assures us of God's love even as we, like the thieves hanging next to Jesus on Calvary, are sinners.
