Guide #3. Simple Steps to
a Successful Workshop

Dorothy G. Lewis. 3rd ed. 2003. 20 p. $8.50, members $7.00

Dottie Lewis has written a new guide for organizing a successful workshop meeting.

Based on the previous version of Guide #3, "Workshop Planning," by Ruth S. Smith, Dottie has added information from the Special Library Association on workshops and workshop suggestions circulated by the North Carolina Chapter (NC-CSLA). Her own experience has included program chair of a national CSLA conference, involvement with the national conference over the last 10 years, and her work with NC-CSLA on the many workshops organized over the years.

The 20-page guide covers procedures for a conference planning committee, the duties of each subcommittee, an extensive timetable, and examples of floor plans, program reschedules, registration form, budgets and more.

Guide #3, "Planning a Successful Workshop," is now available from CSLA for $8.50, and $7 for members.
