You are invited to a Texas-style round-up of congregational librarians. We honor your service to congregational libraries. We take our hats off to you and offer you an opportunity to attend workshops that will help you maximize your ministry and supersize your service.
As we gather, you will be involved in some Texas size events, including a visit to the Houston Baptist University campus where you will be amazed during your visit to the Dunham Bible Museum, the Museum of American Archiecture and Decorative Arts, including the Doll and Minature Furniture collection. On Saturday, you will visit 4 church libraries and end the evening at Champion Forest Baptist Church for food and entertainment.
Sunday morning, the interfaith worship service will be followed by lunch with Houston attorney, Mark Lanier, who is also an ordained minister and Bible scholar. Sunday evening, David and Linda McKechnecie will inspire you as well as entertain with her beautiful music.
Monday evening, following the Awards program, you will be entertained by the Clown Troupe. Tuesday's after lunch speaker will be an astronaut. The after conference tour on Tuesday will take you on a guided tour of the outstanding areas of River Oaks, Memorial, and other amazing sights of the city of Houston.
You will be able to select from numerous workshops offered during the conference to gain information, learn new methods, and exchange ideas. These workshops will cover all areas of church librarianship. Come back to this website for additional information about the scope of the workshops and the presenters.
